A poem, if I may~

Under a sky,
shooting stars for me,
surrounded by fireflies,
cool breeze touched my skin.

The lake swallowed the chaos,
the universe danced with me.

As I lay on the lush wild grass,
the land rejoiced,
responding with its calm, joyful touch,
honouring the love of sweat and toil.

And every time I visited her,
she held me freely —
and I found stillness abound.

This is the leaf of a tree
that grew from that soil.
The name of the tree
I was told,
but I had never looked beyond.

I shed it all
and looked within.
Patient and pure
I kept my hold.
I waited for it
to show me her.

And that’s when I saw,
it was made of gold.
